Five Points of Progression
The primary focus of Progressive Black Men, Inc. is the high standards of personal integrity and service to our community. To preserve the dignity and culture of African Americans in today’s society, we accept the responsibility to bring awareness and provide solutions to issues facing the African-American community through our Five Points of Progression service initiative.
Family & Community Development
Support existing family and community structures and foster positive relationships between groups that compose the same.
Educational Development
Enable youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines, including reading, writing, mathematics, science, social science, technology, history, language arts, and standardized test preparation.
Economic Empowerment
Enhance and stimulate profitable behavior among minorities and support individuals and families in becoming debt-free, financially independent, and job secure.
Health Awareness
Encourage youth and adults to engage in behaviors that promote positive well-being and healthy habits physically, mentally, and emotionally. The focus includes education, prevention, and destigmatizing stereotypes associated with diseases and viruses.
Political Awareness
Increase voter participation through voter registration, education, and Get-Out-The-Vote efforts. Members are encouraged to seek political change through social and civic activism aligned with PBM's mission and purpose.
