Membership

Membership into Progressive Black Men, Inc. is a sincere commitment. When a man is inducted into this organization, he accepts the responsibility for a devoted effort that will forward the organization, the community, and also himself. He is bonded to a lifelong dedication of Excellence, Communal Support, Fellowship of Brothers and the mission of Progressive Black Men. Members are expected to maintain a high level of maturity and discipline. They must also have a desire to strive for, and achieve goals for himself, the community and the organization through Collective Knowledge, Collective Effort, Collective Strength. On becoming a member of Progressive Black Men, a man will learn leadership, brotherhood , and what it means to be a African American (black) man, and most importantly what it means to be a Progressive Black Man.

Requirements

Collegiate Membership 

• Minimum 2.0 GPA (Grade Point Average may be raised at Chapter's Discretion)
• To become a member of a collegiate chapter you must currently be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university where there is an active chapter on campus or in the city.
• Display leadership skills and a concern for the issues facing African Americans.
• Successful completion of the New Membership Education Program.

Professional Membership

• Graduate of an accredited college or university when there is an active chapter in the city.
• Graduate student enrolled in an accredited college or university where there is an active chapter in the city.
• Working Professional
• Military Officer or Veteran
• Display leadership skills and a concern for the issues facing African Americans.
• Successful completion of the New Member Education Program.
